On Saturday, March 23, I gave the keynote address at the University of Detroit – Mercy Business Law Association Conference. The focus of the conference was – surprise – entrepreneurship! The conference also featured a panel of distinguished local attorneys who were prepared to speak on the subject. I trace my own journey through technology, race, and business as described in Proving Ground: A Memoir, and indicated how legal issues affected my career.
I was pleased to meet the conference participants, especially the young, motivated future lawyers in the association. It was a good day. Thanks to my good friend Brenda Perryman for introducing me to this group.
