Computer Science Camp at U-M Flint: FREE!

u-m_flint

I was delighted to receive this message last week from Sharon Burch at U-M Ann Arbor. I hope that Flint parents and students will look into this and take advantage of this great opportunity.  Pass the word around!

Here’s the message…

I am hoping I can get your help. The CoE (College of Engineering) will conduct a one-week computer science camp in Flint this summer and we are reaching out for ways to make sure that students are aware of the opportunity. It targets students that will be juniors and seniors next school year. Students will be invited to participate on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost for students from the Flint area.

I am looking for information on any entities in the Flint area that serve youth (churches, community centers, scouts, etc.) that we might contact to publicize the camp. If you have good contact people, that would be really helpful also. We have sent info to the high schools but any additional insight would be appreciated. We have space for 40 and currently have 2 complete applications.
