Merry Christmas!

I hope you and your family are experiencing peace, love, joy, and hope this holiday season. I am grateful for many blessings, not least the support of many family members, friends, and colleagues.

At this time, there is an empty place in my heart, because I miss my mother, Claudia Louise Tarver, who left this world earlier this year. She loved life, she loved the Christmas spirit, and she loved doing for others all year long. We are left to cherish her loving example.

From me, Kishna, Nadiyah, Aaron, and Stacy – wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year!

  1. Mr. Tarver,

I’ve been a fan of your’s ever since our mutual friend, Mr. Yamamoto shared a portion of your book with me. I was inspired by your real life tail of entrepreneurship and I personally identified with many of your observations of Japan, the country I’ve called my home for the past three years.

Originally I too am from Michigan and I too lost a parent just last year around Christmas time. We each deal with the loss of a loved one in our own way. Writing about it was an excellent choice on your part. I know how much it can help. I will pray that you have strength at this time. Every prayer counts.

    Have a happy new year

    1. Martin: Happy New Year! It’s certainly good to hear from you, and I hope you continue to do well in Japan.

Thanks for reaching out regarding the loss of my mom. As one who has also lost a parent, you know how difficult it can be to push on, especially at holiday time. I appreciate your prayers, and am sending mine up for you.

Have you been to Akihabara lately? Is it still the avant garde electric district it was years ago, or have things cooled off there?

      Keep in touch.

      David
