My good friend Bob Rechnitz of New Jersey used to say that he didn’t want to make a return trip to Jamaica because he was afraid of the spiders. I never knew what he meant until I encountered this fella near Hopewell, in Hanover parish, today.

I understand that they are not deadly, but they do have a painful sting!
Damn…..I dont want to go there anymore. I hear Australia has just as large and deadlier spiders also.
